Our annual Member meeting is scheduled for Sunday August 16th at 1:00pm under the shelter.  Per bylaws you must be present and fully initiated to vote.

Full Bylaw Proposals

1. Current bylaw (Article III, section 2)
Only active initiated members present at the meeting may vote.
Proposed change to bylaw:
“All initiated members shall be entitled to one vote on all matters submitted to the membership at the Annual Meeting. Members may cast their vote in person or by absentee ballot. Absentee ballots will be provided to members no less than 1 week before the annual meeting and must be received by close of business on the date of the annual open board meeting.  The Board shall establish reasonable procedures to verify voter eligibility, maintain ballot confidentiality where appropriate, and ensure each eligible member casts only one vote.”

2. Current bylaw: (Article VIII section 4)

These By-Laws may be amended by a 2/3 vote of the members entitled to Vote and present in person at any Annual Membership Meeting or Special Meeting. 
Proposed change to bylaw:
These By-Laws may be amended by a 2/3 vote of all initiated members at any Annual Membership Meeting or Special Meeting.  Members may cast their vote in person or by absentee ballot. 3. Current Bylaw- This one is lengthy so only the sections of Article VI that need a terminology changes or updates to provide consistency for membership policy.  Proposed changes are in italics.
ARTICLE VI – MEMBERSHIP  Section 1 – Membership Classes Membership in the Club shall consist of the following classes of members:

Senior Citizen IndividualA single member over the age of 60 *Remove since we no longer offer this category of membershipsSection 2 – Membership Classes Defined (amended 2.3 2021) The class of memberships shall be determined as follows:

Charter Membership – Charter membership was issued only to those persons who had fully paid the initial membership fee before October 30, 1966. Those members still in possession of the original bond issued before October 30, 1966 may transfer that bond only to a person/person residing in the same residence as original issue. Original bond may be redeemed in exchange for initiation fee, one time only. Bond must be presented to board for redemption.  *Remove since all known bonds have been turned in.

Section 3 – Dependents Defined ALL *(Remove) Change to “Family” memberships shall entitle that member and all dependents of that member residing in the domicile of that member to the use of Club facilities. For purposes of the section, dependents shall have the same meaning as defined by Section 151 of the Internal Revenue Code. Any request for a waiver of this section must be in writing to the Board Directors.  

Section 4 Limited (adding to update with current wording in system) Babysitters, Nannies and Caregivers Members may designate a babysitter, nanny or caregiver on their membership form. This person(s) may accompany their dependent minor children to the pool IN THE ABSENCE OF THE PARENT/GUARDIAN. Designated caregivers are not bestowed membership and may not accompany the parent(s) to the CLUB unless under the guest guidelines. This rule also applies to non-resident relatives listed as caregiver (ex. Grandparent).  

Section 5 – Supplemental Membership (Grandparent/Sitter Season Pass) adding and will change on website to match for Babysitters, Nannies, Caregivers and Grandparents Members may purchase an add-on to their membership to allow for babysitters, nannies, caregivers, and grandparents to attend the pool WITH THE MEMBER. Supplemental members may be added to a membership at a rate of $150 per person. Caregivers may not be “swapped” throughout the season. (Ex. Babysitter A and Grandparent B may both be added to a family membership for a cost of $150 per person). Friends, non-relatives, and non-dependents may not be added.
